Travelogue: Allegro Papagayo - Guanacaste, Costa Rica

I never knew that someday I'll go to places that are so far away from where I was born. I've never imagined that I'll get the chance to explore them in any way possible. At this moment, I'm just so thankful that I'm discovering more of what this huge world has to offer. And I tell you, the experience is simply amazing!

Moving forward, I'm so eager to share with you guys a new travel diary featuring one of the most popular resorts in Costa Rica- Allegro Papagayo. This is an all-inclusive resort located in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The resort has 300 rooms offering budget-friendly amenities and also a reasonable selection of food and drinks. Also, there's a local beach nearby called Playa Negra, which is perfect for outdoor activities like Volleyball. Just be careful not to hit the precious monkeys. Yes, they're everywhere!

I'm so happy that I was able to share some snaps around the area with you guys so you can see how incredible this resort is. Take a look!

Allegro Papagayo Resort is just 30 minutes away from the airport located in the city of Liberia. It is near active volcanoes (which does not cause harm in any way) and a huge rainforest.

These are free drinks inside the room. How cool is that?!

The view from the balcony. I was lucky enough to get the center room.

Pablo's Bar where all drinks are included in the hotel package! Of course, for my 5-day stay, I was able to try it all! Haha!

Daylight snaps of the Papagayo Tower.

Pool views. It has a unique shape where certain areas are for certain age.

As I walked more around the area, here are some snaps of the resort rooms. They are nice, spacious, and cozy.

Oh hello there buddy! Wait, is this a gecko? Haha!

If you explore the area, you can see a hidden natural habitat of monkeys, young and old, just roaming around the trees craving for food and playmates. Tourists and resort workers feed them with bananas.

We were privileged enough to grab a seat at one of the best seafood restaurants in Playas del Coco, Guanacaste called Restaurante Papagayo Seafood. Everything is so good I was left speechless. So worth it! Here are some snaps.

Here are the food and drinks we ordered. So good!

Lobby area of the resort.

Night snaps of the Papagayo Tower. So lovely!

Here are some snaps from a Mexican restaurant in Allegro Papagayo resort called La Cantina. Yes, they do have specialty restaurants!

And here are some snaps from the Italian specialty restaurant called La Trattoria where we had dinner.

Food and drinks we ordered.

Of course, how could I forget a snap of the local money?! They do have weird huge monetization but it was cool to look like a millionaire for a moment. Haha!

Sad I wasn't able to take snaps of the buffet area because I was too hungry I forgot to bring my camera. Haha! They offer breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner that is included in the package. Also, I forgot to tell you that the resort and some local tour guides offer outdoor activities you can try like ziplining.

I hope you guys enjoyed seeing the photos as much as I do. This resort is really special and it has many things to offer that will make your trip and budget worth it. For more information, you can visit their website at www.allegropapagayoresorts.com.
